Instructions
- Prepare the Ginger: Scrape the skin off the ginger root and slice into thin rounds
- Boil the Water: Bring two cups of filtered water to a rolling boil
- Infuse the Ginger: Add the sliced ginger to the boiling water, reduce heat, and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes
- Strain the Tea: Pour the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer into a mug
- Sweeten and Finish: Let the tea cool slightly, then stir in honey and lemon juice if desired

Do not add honey to boiling water to preserve its beneficial enzymes.
You can freeze leftover tea in ice cube trays for later use.
