Description
Cajun Lobster Tail is a delicious dish that combines bold Cajun spices with succulent lobster meat. It is a gourmet experience that transforms any ordinary weeknight into a vibrant celebration of global flavors.
Ingredients
4 tails Cold Water Lobster (6–8 oz each)
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
4 cloves Garlic
1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the Lobster Tails: Use sharp kitchen shears to cut down the center of the top shell toward the tail. Stop just before you hit the tail fin. Gently pry the shell open and lift the meat upward, resting it on top of the shell
- Create the Cajun Butter: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cayenne, thyme, oregano, and lemon juice
- Season the Meat: Place the prepared tails on a baking sheet. Brush a generous amount of the spiced butter over the exposed meat
- Broil to Perfection: Position your oven rack about 6 inches away from the broiler element. Broil the Cajun Lobster Tail for about 8 to 10 minutes
- Baste and Finish: Halfway through the cooking process, pull the tray out and brush the meat with more butter. Once finished, sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately
Notes
Never cook a frozen tail as it can make the meat rubbery. Always thaw frozen tails in the refrigerator or under cold running water.
Use a meat thermometer. Lobster is perfectly cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
