Description

3 large Eggs
1 cup Pure Maple Syrup
1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 9-inch Pie Crust


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out your pie dough and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate
  2. Spread the pecan halves on a baking sheet and toast them for about 5 to 7 minutes
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, maple syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and sea salt until smooth
  4. Arrange the toasted pecans evenly across the bottom of the pie crust and carefully pour the liquid filling over the nuts
  5. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack for at least 4 hours

Notes

Using a pie shield or aluminum foil halfway through baking can prevent the crust from over-browning.
