Description

These Eyeball Brownies offer a rich, fudgy chocolate flavor with a whimsical appearance that kids adore, making them perfect for Halloween or festive movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
1 cup Coconut Sugar
2 units Large Eggs
1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
1/4 cup Candy Eyeballs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper
  2. Whisk together the melted butter and coconut sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla extract
  4. Sift the cocoa powder, flour, and sea salt into the wet mixture and gently fold until just combined
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs
  6. Remove from oven and gently press the candy eyeballs into the surface while the brownies are still warm
  7. Allow to cool completely in the pan, then lift out using the parchment paper and slice into 16 squares

Notes

Start checking the baking time at 18 minutes to ensure the brownies remain fudgy.
