Ingredients
1 lb Grass-fed Ground Beef (80/20)
1 tsp Fine Sea Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1 tbsp Organic Avocado Oil
4 units Sourdough or Sprouted Buns
4 slices Raw Grass-fed Cheddar
1 cup Fresh Arugula
1/2 unit Red Onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Divide the beef into four equal portions and roll them into loose balls
- Preheat the grill to high heat, about 450-500°F, and place a cast-iron griddle on the grill
- Lightly brush the buns with avocado oil and toast on the griddle for 30-60 seconds
- Place the beef balls onto the hot griddle and smash them down firmly into thin patties
- Season the patties with sea salt and black pepper
- Cook for 2 minutes undisturbed until the edges turn brown and crispy, then flip the patties
