Ingredients
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Dark Cocoa Powder
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Green Frosting
Spooky Sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well-combined
- Sift in the flour and dark cocoa powder, stirring until a thick, dark dough forms
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough and roll into balls. Place on the baking sheet and create a deep indentation in the center of each cookie
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. If the centers puff up, press them down gently while warm
- Once cooled, pipe green frosting into the centers and top with sprinkles
Notes
Use room temperature eggs for better emulsification.
For a truly dark cookie, consider using Black Cocoa Powder.
