Ingredients
14–16 oz Smoked Kielbasa
1 medium head Green Cabbage
1 large Yellow Onio
3 cloves Garlic
2 tablespoons Butter or Ghee
1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tablespoon Stone Ground Mustard
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side until crispy, then remove from the pa
- Sauté sliced onions in the same skillet with melted butter for about 5 minutes until translucent, then add minced garlic for another 60 seconds
- Add shredded cabbage to the skillet, stir frequently as it cooks down over 10-12 minutes
- Return the browned kielbasa, add vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper, and combine thoroughly
- Let the skillet sit undisturbed for 2 minutes on high heat, then serve immediately
Notes
Use a cast-iron skillet for even heating and superior browning.
Do not overcrowd the pan while browning sausage to prevent steaming.
