Description

This Kielbasa and Rice Skillet delivers a punchy, savory flavor profile with juicy, seared smoked sausage mingling with fluffy, seasoned rice and crisp-tender bell peppers. A one-pan meal that takes less than 30 minutes to prepare, making it perfect for busy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale

14 oz Smoked Kielbasa
1 cup Long-Grain White Rice
2 cups Chicken Broth
2 medium Bell Peppers
1 small Yellow Onio
3 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
Salt & Pepper to taste
2 tbsp Fresh Parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until deeply browned and caramelized on both sides. Remove the sausage and set it aside
  2. In the same skillet, add the diced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until they begin to soften. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant
  3. Add the uncooked rice directly to the pan with the vegetables. Stir frequently for 2 minutes to toast the grains
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and stir in the smoked paprika. Bring the mixture to a boil, then immediately reduce the heat to low. Cover the skillet with a tight-fitting lid
  5. Let the mixture simmer for 15-18 minutes without lifting the lid. Once the rice absorbs the liquid, stir the browned kielbasa back into the pan. Cover for 2 more minutes to heat the sausage through
  6. Fluff the Kielbasa and Rice Skillet with a fork. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately

Notes

Always rinse your rice under cold water until the water runs clear to ensure it remains fluffy.
