1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper
  2. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy
  3. Mix in the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and sea salt
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined
  6. Chill dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the baking sheets and use a fork to create a crisscross patter
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are golden but centers are soft
  9. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.

To reduce sugar, substitute granulated sugar with coconut sugar.

For nut allergies, almond butter or sunflower seed butter can be used.
