Sausage Green Bean Potato Casserole is a comforting dish that combines smoky sausage, tender potatoes, and crisp green beans into a delicious one-pan meal perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
14–16 ounces Smoked Sausage
1 pound Fresh Green Beans
1.5 pounds Yukon Gold Potatoes
3 tablespoons Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
1/4 cup Chicken Broth (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C)
- Slice the sausage into half-inch rounds. Wash, trim, and cut the green beans. Scrub and dice the potatoes into uniform one-inch cubes
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sausage, green beans, and potatoes. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss until evenly coated
- Spread the mixture in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Pour the optional chicken broth into the bottom if desired
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 to 20 minutes, stirring halfway through
- Let the casserole rest for five minutes before serving
Notes
Use fresh green beans for the best texture. Frozen beans can be used, but thaw and dry them first.
