Ingredients
1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 cup Fresh Lemon Juice
4 cloves Fresh Garlic (Minced)
2 tablespoons Dried Oregano
1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
Instructions
- In a medium glass bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is slightly thickened
- Add minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to the emulsion. Stir them in to extract flavors
- Place chicken in a large resealable silicone bag or shallow glass dish, ensuring even thickness
- Pour the marinade over the chicken, massaging to ensure thorough coverage
- Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, but not exceeding 4 hours
- Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before cooking to reach room temperature
