Ingredients
4 cups Organic All-Purpose Flour
1 cup Warm Whole Milk (110°F)
1 packet Active Dry Yeast (2.25 tsp)
1/3 cup Unsalted Butter (Melted)
1/4 cup Coconut Sugar or Honey
1/2 cup Softened Grass-Fed Butter
2 tablespoons Ground Ceylon Cinnamo
1/2 cup Coconut Sugar
1 bag Chocolate-Covered Pretzels (for spider legs)
2 Candy Eyes or Raisins (per roll)
4 ounces Cream Cheese (Softened)
1/2 cup Maple Syrup or Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Combine the warm milk, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar in a large bowl. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes foamy
- Stir in the melted butter, the remaining sugar, and the egg until well combined
- Gradually add the flour one cup at a time. Mix until a soft dough forms and starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 to 7 minutes. It should feel smooth and elastic
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a warm damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour
- Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and roll it out into a large rectangle on a floured surface
- Spread the softened grass-fed butter over the entire surface of the dough
- Mix the cinnamon and coconut sugar together, then sprinkle it evenly over the buttered dough
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into 12 even slices
- Place the slices in a greased baking dish. Cover and let them rise again for 30 minutes
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Bake the rolls for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brow
- While the rolls bake, whisk together the cream cheese and maple syrup until smooth
- Let the rolls cool for 10 minutes, then spread the icing over the top
- Break chocolate-covered pretzels into curved pieces and insert four into each side of the roll for legs
- Place two candy eyes or raisins on the front to finish your Creepy Crawly Cinnamon Rolls
Notes
You can prepare the dough ahead of time and let it rise in the refrigerator overnight for better flavor.
