Description

Crispy Blackstone Flatbread Pizza is a quick and customizable meal that combines fresh ingredients with the searing power of an outdoor griddle, resulting in a crunchy crust and melting cheese.

4 Large Pieces Rectangular Flatbreads
1 cup San Marzano Tomato Sauce
8 ounces Fresh Mozzarella
1/2 cup Cooked Chicken or Turkey Pepperoni
1.5 cups Bell Peppers, Onions, Spinach (thinly sliced)
2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 cup Fresh Basil and Oregano


Instructions

  1. Preheat the Blackstone to medium-low heat
  2. Brush a light coating of extra virgin olive oil on both sides of the flatbreads
  3. Place flatbreads directly onto the hot griddle for about 60 seconds, then flip
  4. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the toasted side, followed by shredded mozzarella, vegetables, and proteins
  5. Return the topped flatbreads to the griddle, covering if possible to melt the cheese
  6. Monitor the crust, looking for a deep golden brow
  7. Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh basil, and let rest before slicing

Notes

Using a melting dome can help achieve gooey cheese. Let the pizza rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
